Design of VLSI Based Power-Saving Streetlight System and Automatic Traffic Controller with Automatic Transfer Switch

The number of road accidents is increasing due to the power outage traffic light system and streetlight system's maintenance fees was too high. Therefore, a proposed solution that includes automatic controller, energy-saving controller energy transfer switch had been designed overcome these issues. on four-way junction which has one sensor for each direction. This 3 different conditions will act differently when all directions detected vehicle, or vehicle not detected, in some directions. Apart from this, also minimize usage only turn detected. Quartus 18 via Verilog Hardware Description Language (HDL) functional simulation used verify circuit functioning correctly HDL files were input Synopsys Design Compiler logical synthesis IC physical synthesis. After both synthesis, design then analysed terms speed, area, consumption through generate report commands. Besides, programmed into Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) connected with AC Dimmer Module LED bulb measure reduction bulb. As result, chip total area 392.002199 μm^2, positive critical timing slack 0.1 ns 0.1196 mW. able achieve by 77.87%.
